Elevation Schemes
Different altitude levels can be represented in elevation layers using any of the following elevation schemes.
Elevation Scheme |
Description |
Color |
Varying altitudes are represented in different colors according to the selected color scheme. Note: You can use one of a number of existing color schemes, edit an existing scheme or define new schemes to meet your own requirements. See “Creating/Modifying an Elevation Color Scheme” in this chapter for more information. |
Hillshade |
Shading gives a 3D effect. |
Stretch |
Color scheme range is stretched to fit the Min and Max elevation range of the project. |
Note: The elevation scheme is only for the convenience of the TerraBuilder operator, it is not added to the 3D terrain output.
To select an elevation scheme:
§ On the View tab, in the Elevation Scheme group, click the required Elevation Scheme. If you want a Color elevation scheme, click Color and then click the required color scheme. The elevation scheme is applied to the layer currently displayed in the Elevation view in the Working and Reference Windows.
Note: You can select any combination of elevation schemes.
